C. Philip Smelley, CIC LUTCF

President-Certified Insurance Counselor

A native and lifetime resident of south metro Atlanta, Phil began his insurance career with Prudential in 1984. With advanced training in Estate and Tax Planning, as well as Employee Benefits, he distinguished himself in investment and insurance planning with business owners. He maintains his Certified Insurance Counselor designation and is a LUTC Fellow. He is also a licensed Insurance Counselor for Life and Health and Property and Casualty products.

In 1991, he purchased a local, Fayetteville based agency called Tri City Insurance Services, established in 1962. The past twenty years have seen the company triple in size and client services to become TCIS – The Complete Insurance Source.

Along the way, he has been involved in many community organizations, including United Way, Fayetteville Rotary Club, Fayette County Development Authority, and his church. He served for years on the Board of Directors of the 2,000 member National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Georgia, including 1999-2000 as their President, currently Legislative Chair.

Jayson Coan, CIC

CFO/Operations Manager

Jayson has been a Managing Partner at TCIS since 2017. After completing his degree in Finance at Georgia Southern University in 1992, Jayson joined the TCIS team as an assistant in the accounting department. He obtained his insurance sales license in 1993 and pursued a management role in the agency. In 1994, he became the Accounting Manager and took on the responsibility of managing the computer network. In 1999, he became a partner in the agency and Chief Financial Officer.

Jayson has been active in several insurance organizations. He has served as a Board Member for SecureRisk Insurance Solutions and has been an active member of Independent Agents of Georgia. He earned Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2004. Jayson has over 30 years of insurance experience and commitment to excellence. He is proud of TCIS’ service to its clients and the community.

Jayson is also a devoted family man. He and his wife, Anna, are both from Atlanta, and they have two sons, Sam and Daniel. Jayson has loved coaching his sons’ baseball teams over the years and remains a proud supporter of their high school and travel ball games.

Teresa McPherson, CIC

Business Insurance Advisor

Teresa has been a trusted insurance expert for over 40 years, with a strong reputation for dedication to both her clients and her craft. Her commitment to delivering exceptional service has earned her a loyal client base that has been with her for over 20 years.

One of Teresa’s specialties is Professional Liability coverage, but she is also adept at weaving together multiple lines of coverage, such as General Liability, Workers Compensation, Property, and Business Auto. Her expertise in these areas helps ensure her clients are sheltered against potential risks and liabilities.

Outside of work, Teresa enjoys spending time with loved ones and indulging in her passions, such as cooking and gardening. Whether she’s trying out a new recipe or tending to her plants with her husband and furry friends, Teresa approaches every endeavor with enthusiasm and a desire to excel.

Jamie Pope, CLCS

Business Insurance Advisor

Jamie is a business insurance advisor with over two decades of experience in the industry. Since she started her career in 1999 by working part-time at State Farm, she has always been passionate about helping individuals and businesses protect themselves through insurance.

Jamie’s expertise in insurance has only grown since then. She spent four years selling insurance for an independent agency in Hilton Head Island, SC, before coming back to her hometown of Fayetteville. In 2005 she joined the team here at TCIS, where she initially worked in our Personal Lines department. In 2011, she transitioned to the Commercial Lines department and became a business insurance advisor.

Jamie understands that each business is unique and requires tailor-made insurance solutions to protect their assets and employees. She has worked with a variety of clients but specializes in helping specialty contractors and restaurants manage their risks.

When Jamie isn’t working, she spends time with her husband and children. They love anything related to sports and spending time outdoors by the pool or under the sun. Jamie’s love for her community and commitment to helping her clients is evident in everything she does.

Julie Beshers

New Business Consultant

Julie is a dedicated insurance professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She has an extensive knowledge of insurance policies and regulations and is committed to providing excellent service to her clients. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail have earned her a reputation as a trustworthy and reliable insurance agent. When she’s not working, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the outdoors. She is an active member of the community and is always looking for opportunities to give back.

Tiffany Miller

Commercial Lines Account Manager

Tiffany Miller is a military brat who grew up all over the United States and Europe. Her family settled in Georgia in 2000 where she met her high school sweetheart, Matt Miller and later married in 2005. Tiffany attended Clayton State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2006.

Soon after graduating, Tiffany began her insurance career at TCIS in March of 2007. She earned her Property and Casualty as well as her Life and Health license. Through her work, she has helped countless people protect their assets and safeguard against unpredictable events.

Tiffany’s greatest joys in life are her family and friends. She and Matt have two children, Matty and Emma. When she is not working hard to support her family, Tiffany loves spending quality time with them. She enjoys going on adventures, discovering new places, and is actively involved at her church. Tiffany values building long-lasting connections with those around her and cherishes every moment spent with her loved ones.

Jessica Davant

Commercial Lines Account Manager

Jessica has been with our agency since 2018. She is native to Fayette County; graduated from Fayette County High School in 1998, and a graduate of Gordon College and Southern Crecent Technical College. She has over 20 years of customer service experience in our local community and committed to developing solid relationships with her clients.

She has an unwavering commitment to go above and beyond as an insurance agent. She puts her client’s needs first and proactively works to find the best value for their insurance needs.

When Jessica is not working, she loves spending time with her husband, Bryan and their son Cooper. She enjoys restoring and building furniture and can often be found cheering on her son at the baseball fields.

Angie Brown

Accounting Assistant

With over two decades of experience in the insurance industry, Angie is a knowledgeable and reliable member of the TCIS team. She began her career working in the Personal Lines Department at an independent agency in Fayetteville before joining the TCIS team in 2004. Since then, Angie has moved into the Accounting Department where she excels at her role. She is dependable, detail-oriented, and always eager to assist clients with their needs.

Outside of work, Angie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, exploring Georgia’s beautiful outdoors, traveling, and trying new restaurants. Anna Coan

Personal Lines Producer

Anna is an Atlanta native, raised in Coweta County, and joined TCIS full-time in 2020. Anna has 25 years of sales and consulting experience and prioritizes what’s best for her clients. She knows that no single insurance company or policy is right for every individual and family, so she works to assess your needs and find the just right fit. As a Personal Lines Producer, her goals include earning your trust and being the best insurance agent you’ve ever had.

Anna lives with her husband, Jayson, their two sons, and Max the Dog. Virtually year-round, you will almost certainly find Anna in the stands watching baseball – whether it’s one of her sons’ games or Atlanta Braves. She loves hiking, firepits, and Mickey Mouse. If you challenge her to Disney trivia, she will win. Anna is currently planning a cool trip.

Mindy Wallace, ACSR

Mindy is a native of Georgia and grew up in the South Metro area. She attended Clayton State University, where she obtained her degree in Health Care Management. Mindy has more than a decade of experience in the medical and insurance fields. Her passion for helping others and her dedication to providing excellent customer service truly sets her apart.

In 2014, Mindy earned the prestigious Accredited CSR designation, further showcasing her knowledge and dedication to providing exceptional customer service. Mindy joined our team in 2012 and has been an invaluable asset to our company ever since. She is constantly learning and growing to better serve her clients and is committed to providing the best possible results.

Mindy is married to her husband, Jody, and they share their home with three beloved dogs, Tanner, Bandit, and Maggie. When she’s not helping clients, Mindy spends her free time snuggling with her pups.

Amanda Roberts

Amanda Roberts grew up in Georgia and is a passionate licensed insurance professional. Her goal is to help people in her community make informed decisions on their insurance needs. With her diverse background in both the spa industry and education, she brings a unique approach to helping clients with their insurance needs. She is dedicated to finding the best coverage options for each individual and providing exceptional customer service. Amanda’s dedication to serving her community led her to work at a local church preschool, where she loved teaching and guiding young children. Being a single mother herself, Amanda understands the importance of finding the right insurance for individuals and families to protect their loved ones and assets.

Rachel Keeter

Personal Lines Assistant

Rachel is a dynamic person with a diverse background. Born into a military family, she experienced a unique childhood moving frequently and living all over the East Coast as well as parts of Europe. This upbringing instilled in her a sense of adventure and an ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

After completing her high school years in Alabama, Rachel decided to pursue a degree in psychology at Auburn University. She thrived in the academic environment and graduated in 2020.

Rachel’s intellectual pursuits continued after graduation, leading her to begin a career in insurance with TCIS in June 2022. Her passion for helping people and her innate ability to connect with others made her a valuable addition to the team, and she quickly earned her property and casualty license.

When Rachel isn’t working, you can often find her spending quality time with her beloved cats, Oscar and Tango. She enjoys creating a relaxing environment for her pets and herself by tending to her garden. Rachel’s green thumb has allowed her to cultivate a beautiful outdoor oasis at her home, which provides both tranquility and fresh produce for her and her loved ones.

Veronica Johnson

Veronica is a Georgia native with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail. After earning her degree in Business Finance from the University of West Georgia, Veronica worked in accounting but craved a more client-facing role that would allow her to combine her love for math with her customer service skills. Now, as a proud team member of The Complete Insurance Source in the insurance industry, Veronica is ready to take on new challenges and excel in her career.

In her free time, Veronica cherishes moments with her two daughters and loves nothing more than going on outdoor adventures, especially if they involve water.
